I get to announce more new music from tobyMac and Under The Bed Studios. I had the privilege of once again remixing a couple of tracks from Toby’s newest album, “Tonight”. You can grab the remixes from the deluxe edition on iTunes. I remixed both Tonight (New Day Remix) and Captured (KP Remix). I hope you’ll give ‘em a listen and let me know what you think. It was a blast to be able to do this again.
Update – The Deluxe Edition is also available in stores and includes a bonus DVD.

I just finished work on a brand new website for a local not-for-profit ministry here in Middle Tennessee. I’ve known the owners for the past few years and I’ve even been out to the farm to help groom their horses and unload hay. They offer several services including counseling, equine therapy, and ministerial sabbaticals. It’s really an amazing property and it’s a very tranquil place that is a wonderful contrast to the city.
I worked closely with the owners to make sure I understood their vision for the ministry before we started to design the requirements for the site. I believe the end result is some of my best work to date and it is my hope that it will serve their ministry well.

I’m pleased to announce that one of my efforts has been included as part of tobyMac’s newest release. The City On Our Knees single features my remix of his track Boomin’ from his Gold Album “Portable Sounds.” Both the Ignition and Boomin’ remixes have already been featured in iTunes but it’s great to see one of them make it out on a physical release. Under The Bed Studios now has its first physical major label release. Boomin’ (UTB Remix) is in stores now. Go pick one up today!

A site redesign was long overdue, and I’m very pleased to finally show off the new Under The Bed Studios. Like most designers, it’s almost impossible to nail exactly what we want for our own personal sites. Because of my split-career choice the design for this site has been doubly difficult. I needed to incorporate both the music and web aspects of Under The Bed Studios and maintain a slick, modern look for the site. After at least six different all-day attempts at a home splash page I ended up going the self-portrait route. Yep, that’s some semblance of me on the homepage in the orange shirt and red Chucks. I’d never tried a vector illustration of myself before, but after much tweaking it seems to have turned out okay.
This site has come a long long way since the initial launch in 2006. This is officially version 4.0 and it’s brought with it a new color scheme, logo, and a new emphasis on the blogging element of the site. The blog will no longer be a place for updates (which I never made) on the work I’m doing. I will instead try to impart some of the knowledge I’ve gleaned in my miniscule three years experience in web design. I love to teach and I love to learn. I hope that some of what I’m able to put down here will be of use to some of you out there. It’s been a great three years and I’m looking forward to many more.
